Tektonik polls official specs, changelogs and deprecation notices, diffs each new version against the last, and records every change with a link to its source.
Self-maintaining API integrations
Tektonik watches every third-party API you depend on. When an API changes, it finds the code the change affects, writes the fix, tests it, and opens a draft pull request for your team to review.
fix(billing): handle string IDs in items[].id
Watching the sources that announce API changes
Every API you call can change: endpoints are removed, fields change type, new auth is required. Today someone learns about it from a production error. With Tektonik, the fix arrives as a pull request before anything breaks.

How it works
Tektonik polls official specs, changelogs and deprecation notices, diffs each new version against the last, and records every change with a link to its source.
Each change is matched against an index of your code to find the exact endpoints, files and functions it affects, then rated high, low or unknown impact.
Claude writes the smallest safe fix on an isolated branch. Tektonik runs your tests, linter and type checks, then opens a draft pull request with the evidence and a rollback plan.
Each stage hands off a schema-validated record, so every decision is stored with the evidence behind it. If a check fails, Tektonik retries a limited number of times and then hands the change to a person.
Polls specs and feeds, snapshots each version.
Diffs specs field by field and deduplicates announcements.
Matches each change to your code and rates its severity.
Claude edits only the files that need it, on an isolated branch.
Runs lint, types, unit and contract tests against mocks.
A person reviews it and decides whether to merge.
Why Tektonik
Dependency bots bump version numbers. Tektonik reads what changed in the API, finds the code that uses it, and makes the edit.
Start a pilotIt diffs endpoints, parameters, request and response schemas, and auth. Plain-language changelogs are parsed too, and anything inferred from them is labeled as inferred.
A usage index links each method and path to the files and functions that call it, and updates with every push.
"stripe/payments": { "GET /v1/invoices": { files: ["src/billing/client.py"], symbols: ["fetch_invoices"] } }
Breaking changes go to migration planning. Compatible improvements are adopted only if they clearly pay off. When the evidence is unclear, Tektonik asks a person instead of assuming it's safe.
Each change is tied to an official URL or a location in the spec. Tektonik never invents API behavior, benchmarks or passing tests.
Lint, type checks, unit, contract and security tests all run against mocks or vendor sandboxes. A failed or missing critical check keeps the PR in draft.
Tektonik never merges or deploys on its own. Changes that touch credentials, billing or authorization, or that could lose data, need explicit sign-off.
